Mio came to America with nothing but a pair of scissors, a dream, and an unshakable will to rise.
Originally from a small village in Vietnam, she arrived in Honolulu with limited English and no business background — only a passion for cutting hair and a heart full of ambition.
Starting out in humble corners, she built her clientele one cut at a time, turning every conversation into connection and every haircut into trust. Years of hard work transformed her side hustle into a full-service barbershop known for precision, culture, and care.
Today, Mio’s Designs Barbershop stands as a symbol of dedication and resilience.
